Over Weak Procurement Protocols: Uniform Shortage From 2016

Auditor-General Report blasts D.C.S over Weak Procurement Protocols – The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) is being put to task over 185 million dollars paid out to contractors between fiscal years 2016/17 and 2017/18.

Of that amount, 55 million dollars was reportedly used to procure uniforms for Correctional Officers.  But according to officers, they have not received uniforms since 2016.

CVM Live understands that some of the uniforms were not approved and have therefore not been distributed. We continue to monitor this story surrounding the alleged corruption involving the DCS
