The rate of road fatalities seems to be accelerating across the island as we enter into the holiday season; four persons lost their lives on the Palisadoes Main Road in Kingston on Sunday morning following a two-vehicle collision.
Head of the East Kingston Police Division, Superintendent Tomielee Chambers says the fatalities include two men and two women. While acknowledging the loss of life, she added that motorists must also acknowledge their own responsibilities toward road safety.
Director of the Island Traffic Authority (ITA) Kenute Hare extends condolences to families of the 450 persons who died as a result of fatal crashes across Jamaica while warning road users to be cautious. Watch the report:
