At the Council Meeting in Westmoreland on Thursday, tensions escalated due to a controversial motion proposed by Deputy Mayor Danree Delancy from Sav-La-Mar. As a result, Deputy Mayor Delancy was removed from office after votes were cast in favor of Ian Miles, a former Councilor from Little London who now serves as an independent. Earlier in the week, Miles and two other PNP councillors had already resigned from their positions.
