There is a spike in robberies; this crime has been increasing in the St Andrew Central Division over the past four months according to Senior Superintendent of Police for the Division, SSP, Marlon Nesbeth. He shares that this crime is particularly in the Papine and Mona areas, by mobile men who are not living in the area.
SSP Nesbeth reported that through investigations progress has been made in nabbing a few perpetrators of these crimes, but he is advising persons to utilize the tracker system which can be downloaded on the phone as the app proves useful in past cases.
Residents are being urged to be vigilant when traveling even in public passenger vehicles
