For the 83rd Conference, the Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson also had a lot to say Sunday about the nation’s affairs and the ongoing internal party happenings. He insists Jamaica does not exist for the exploitation of those with political power.
Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson says Jamaica is not a piggy bank that you raid, where you come again and steal what you see and then come again to take more.
He questions how the country will seek to get from the bottom of the COVID-19 vaccination list in the region. But he didn’t only have concerns for the country’s management. He tackled the factions in the PNP, reminding them that only a united PNP can be a strong opposition. “The PNP is doomed to defeat and self-destruct if it continues to indulge in cursing each other … comrades who do this are enemies of progress and mean the party no good,” says Patterson. Patterson went on to highlight the negative press the party has received following its infighting. He has urged the Party to unite under the current leader.
