Jamaicans continue to be burdened by high electricity bills and dramatic weekly price increases for gasoline; amid continued tension between Russia and Ukraine. In March, Minister of Finance, Dr. Nigel Clarke, announced a 4-month 20% subsidy for Jamaica Public Service (JPS) customers using up to 200-kilowatt hours of electricity per month.
