Several persons of interest relating to murders in the Spanish Town Road area earlier this week are now in police custody.
Residents who were afraid to speak to CVM Live say it was a drive-by shooting which resulted in four community members being shot.
One of the residents says the violence has gotten worse, company buses no longer drop them at their gates but on the main road because of fear
Additionally, on Wednesday a drive by at a tyre repair shop on Spanish Town Road resulted in the death of two men.
The deceased have been identified as 42-year-old Assistant Pastor and Norman Manley High School teacher, Kedo Guyah, and 37-year-old tire repairman, Richard Williams.
Superintendent for the St. Andrew South Division, Kirk Ricketts says the casualties are as a result of warfare between gangs.
Additionally, two residents were shot on Foster Lane, Central Kingston.
Police say they do not believe this is related to the shooting incident on Spanish Town Road.
