Persons of Interest Listed Following Death of Teenage Mother

A major probe has been launched by the police, following the tragic death of a teenage mother in Denham Town on Sunday. The 17 year old mother, Devenese Nelson was found lying in a pool of blood with a single gunshot wound to the head. The police have since listed two persons of interest, one of whom is said to be the baby father of the victim.

The Kings Heights Apartment Complex on Water Street Kingston, showed no signs of the death of Devanese Nelson otherwise called Pinky who died at hospital after being shot dead. The incident took place in close proximity to the Zone of Special Operation. Our news team tried to engage with residents in the area; however we were informed that Nelson is not from the area and resides on North Street in Kingston. CVM Live understands that the apartment is the residence of the father of Nelson’s two month old child.

Superintendent of police for the Kingston Western Division Michael Phipps says the baby father of the victim along with another relative, has been identified as persons of interest and are being asked to turn themselves in. The police have named Eric Murdock otherwise called Brando and Tevin Cross as the two person of interest and are asking them to turn themselves in.

They are also calling on anyone with additional information to contact them immediately at the Denham Town Police Station at 876 948 6443 or crime stop at 311.
