Funds have been allocated for the phased development of communities in North-West St. Ann. The initiative is spearheaded by the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.
Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth Everald Warmington conducted a series of visits in the North-Western St. Ann constituency on Tuesday, July 27. The constituency has been long overdue for road repairs and developments in communities, and the Minister notes allocations are in place to attend to various areas within the constituency.
Minister Warmington says a total of $45 million was allocated for development, however, that project was not executed, and plans are in place to revive that project. He says the projects will be done as a phased development given the constraints of the budget.
Meantime, Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Member of Parliament Krystal Lee is pleased with the Minister’s visit to the North-West St. Ann communities and his commitment to this initiative. She says, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the Jamaican economy, so the help from the Minister Warmington and the Ministry is greatly appreciated.
