PM Accuses Opp. Leader of Peddling Digital Falsehoods

Prime Minister Andrew Holness is accusing the Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, and his followers of being hypocritical and peddling false-hoods pertaining to the Government’s motive in promoting digital transformation in the public sector. Holness says there is no mandate to go cashless tossing the suggestion on the heels of new currencies as senseless. By now enough Jamaicans have concluded that the aim following recent attacks on financial institutions is to have the country catapulted into a cashless society. 

A notion struck down by the Prime Minister in his address at an Inter-American Development Bank, IDB forum on Digital Transformation in Government, Wednesday. He then launched a heated attack against his political counterpart who was also in attendance branding the Opposition Leader. And those of similar view as hypocritical insisting though they speak against the technology they engage with it. Watch the report:
