PM Holness Slams PNP Budget Adjustment Proposal

Prime Minister Andrew Holness slams the PNP budget: The government is seemingly sticking with the 60-billion dollar Serve Programme as the money bag to jump-start the economy.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the government cannot afford to spend any more without threatening Jamaica’s recovery efforts. The Opposition’s People National Party has called for the Government to add $21 billion to its spending to fuel economic activity but Holness, during his budget presentation earlier today says the government has to balance kick-starting the economy with sustaining the country’s debt.
