Prime Minister Andrew Holness is making a renewed call for corporate entities to maintain good corporate social responsibility within surrounding communities either by way of employment or community outreach programmes as a means of improving the problem of equity in the island.
He was speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of carimed distribution centre at bernard lodge in St . Catherine.
According to the Prime Minister, good corporate social responsibility is important in building the country’s economy and fostering greater investment.
He highlighted the need for good customer service as being a much needed aspect of service delivery. His comments follow the jamaica customer service annual conference where there was a call for greater focus on service delivery.
This goes hand in hand with one of the association’s strategic priorities which is to foster improved understanding of the role and need for service excellence in the process of national development.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness says Corporate entities must recognize the duty of good customer service and corporate social responsibility. He goes further to note is now encouraging corporate entities to maintain these standards within their communities. According to him, this goes along way in making a long lasting impact on many lives.
