Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced his directive for amendments to be made to the laws, aiming to establish more stringent penalties to serve as a deterrent to criminals. Additionally, the recently tabled Firearms Act from last year will undergo further revisions.
Mr Holness was speaking during an early morning Post Cabinet press briefing.
