Eighteen (18) junior shadow cabinet members were announced on Monday, May 10, by the opposition People’s National Party(PNP), a move intended to integrate more young people in nation-building. The young professionals will complement the shadow cabinet but will operate with a high level of independence.
Among the appointees are president of the People’s National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO), Krystal Tomlinson who will be shadowing labor, Social Security and Gender, Rasheen Roper Robinson, a newcomer to the political field shadowing the Education Portfolio, Shariann Henry, Spokesperson on Justice, Timothy Thwaites from the patriots will be speaking on transport and works, as well as Marlon Campbell on entertainment and culture, and Akeem Dobson on housing.
