PNP Calls for A Review of COVID-19 Protocols

The Opposition, People’s National Party (PNP) is calling on the Government to immediately review the Covid-19 protocols, amid an increase in positive cases.

Since the start of this week, up to Wednesday, a total of forty-five new samples have tested positive and regrettably, two deaths have been recorded.

Although the country has a recovery rate of eighty percent there remains a worrying trend of rising cases.

For this week, double-digit increases have been recorded for three consecutive days, of which most are imported cases.

This, according to opposition spokesman on Health Dr. Morais Guy is of much concern and requires immediate action.

In some public spaces, it has become business as usual, as people are often seen without masks and little to no social distancing being observed.

Another concern for the opposition is the reopening of schools. They are calling on the government to take decisive action to halt the further spread of this virus.
