The Opposition People’s National Party today hosted a media briefing recapping the 84th Annual Conference held Sunday. Party President Mark Golding underscored various changes to come in the party’s voting process among other updates.
Golding while addressing the media Tuesday says the conference was a success. He noted prior to Sunday’s conference, private sessions were held with the delegates of the Party. The sessions according to Golding were to discuss the policy and vision commissions report.
He adds resolutions were passed regarding changes in the voting rules of the party in relation to elections of party leaders and vice presidents. Golding highlights another resolution past, for the expansion of membership to Jamaicans living abroad. He says this decision was based on the significance of the diaspora.
