The People’s National Party, PNP, is reporting early findings about recent rape allegations as a misrepresentation of the facts. In a statement Wednesday the Party says, it was revealed the comment was made as part of a separate conversation between two Protesters from southeastern St. Catherine who were in the vicinity.
It adds it was not directed to the journalist present. It further notes the journalist was unaware of the comment until the recording was made public. The party says it intends to help identify and locate the people on the recording while reiterating its condemnation of violence and abusive expressions.
