PNP Presidential Candidates Commit To Fair Campaign

The race is on for the next President of the People’s National Party. The candidates so far, Lisa Hanna and Mark Golding yesterday, committed to conducting a fair campaign. And most importantly, not engaging in any personal attacks that may further contribute to the disunity within the party.

“We plan to run a clean campaign that does not hit below the belt. Our campaign team has been very strident in that…” Hanna says.

Meanwhile, Golding says, “I look forward to a clean campaign, I ask all my supporters to stay high and don’t go low.

“Both candidates are singing the same tune of keeping the unity of the Party alive. The Presidential aspirants made it clear that whatever the outcome may be, they will both work together.

“Should I be the victor, I am prepared to support comrade Golding one hundred per cent, if he becomes President and if I be the…winner I intend to reach out to Mark, his campaign team and supporters to work in the best interest of the party,” Hanna says.

“I, too welcomes Lisa’s full participation in whatever capacity she may wish,” Golding added.

Outgoing President Dr. Peter Phillips is urging supporters of each candidate to be mindful of what they do and say.

The Presidential election will be held on November 7.
