Images circulating on social media, prompting the embattled Member of Parliament for Central Westmoreland, George Wright to resign.
This follows a statement from the Jamaica Labor Party (JLP) to have Wright removed from the Party’s Parliamentary Caucus.
Opposition Leader, Mark Golding says this is a convenient outcome for the JLP as it does not affect their Parliamentary standing.
Golding notes that domestic violence cases, are not often resolved in the courts, for varying reasons.
But the Opposition believes a more appropriate solution is for the first term Member of Parliament to resign.
Member of Parliament for South West St. Andrew, Dr. Angela Brown Burke is calling out Wright to do the honorable thing.
Dr. Brown Burke is appealing to the victim in the video to not be fearful and to come out and speak the truth.
