Chairman of the People’s National Party (PNP) alleges some government workers are still not receiving the amended minimum wage almost a year after it was increased. 

She is calling on the government to uphold its own policies ahead of new changes.  Ahead of the new minimum wage to take effect on June one, the PNP Chairman, Dr Angela Brown Burke, is calling on the Andrew Holness-led government to lead by example and ensure all minimum wage workers are paid the current minimum wage. 

The minimum wage was increased from $7,000 to $9,000 in April 2022.  However, Brown Burke argues some contracts are still not amended and some workers are still being paid $7,000. Watch the report:
