The opposition People’s National Party (PNP) is demanding alacrity and transparency from the authorities into the disappearance of social media influencer Donnalee Donaldson.
Donaldson has been reported missing for over a week but the public is dissatisfied with the pace of the investigations. In a statement Tuesday the opposition PNP called for the authorities to expedite the investigations into the Donnalee Donaldson matter.
The PNP says given that police personnel have been linked to her disappearance Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) must be vigilant in ensuring probity and leaving no stone unturned. The Party’s also demanding full transparency into the investigations. It’s urging the police to go the extra mile in ensuring its operations are above board.
President of the PNP Women’s Movement, Patricia Duncan Sutherland says it is communication and transparency is critical as the matter could erode trust from the police. She says any perception of delay could result in further mistrust of law enforcement locally.
Donnalee Donaldson has been missing since July 11. Her disappearance has surfaced several theories and calls, for her boyfriend, Noel Maitland, and the mother of his child, both police officers, to be named suspects. Watch the report:
