Police: Be Extra Vigilant this Christmas

As security forces ramp up efforts to combat crime and violence, especially in hotspot regions like Clarendon, citizens are urged to take personal vigilance seriously as the Christmas season approaches. Clarendon stands among the five parishes where the Prime Minister declared States of Emergency just a week ago.

With the festive season nearing, many Jamaicans will be out shopping for the holidays, but so will criminals. Consequently, the police advise shoppers to maintain extra awareness of their surroundings.

Superintendent Carlos Russell, Commanding Officer for the Clarendon Police Division, has factored this concern into his operational plans. Watch the report:
