Deputy Superintendent in charge of operations for the St. James Division, Eron Samuels, says the police are resolute in restoring order in the parish. He says the issue of disorderly vending in the town contributes to traffic congestion, therefore the police will continue to carry out special street operations to maintain order. The St. James Police Division continues its push towards eradicating violent crime and maintaining order in the parish, following a town sweep operation on Saturday.
Deputy Superintendent Samuels says this intervention is necessary in the highly vended area, noting order must be maintained or the roads will become cluttered. Deputy Superintendent Samuels is however reassuring the public that this operation is geared towards protecting residents. Meanwhile, the Deputy Superintendent lauded the expertise and diligence which has rendered the town sweep operation fruitful.
