Police Commissioner: No Excuse for Corrupt Cops

Commissioner of Police, Major General Antony Anderson warns that there will be no excuse for police officers who get involved in gangs and carry out criminal activities. He is insisting any officer found guilty of gang or criminal activities, will not get a free pass. He asserts there should be no excuse for officers found in breach.

Commissioner Anderson says there are good officers who work diligently without falling into the hands of corruption. He was speaking at a monthly media briefing Tuesday, pointing out that cop arrest should not be a factor to not trust the constabulary, but suggests citizens should believe in the law enforcement as they are the ones investigating the matter and making the arrests.

The commissioner maintains that members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) have a reputation for protecting, therefore officers with clean hands will work effortlessly to apprehend the perpetrators. More here:
