Police Commissioner, Major General Antony Anderson visited sections of the Corporate Area on Good Friday to observe compliance with the curfew protocols. He also gifted the police packages of buns and cheese for the Easter Holiday.
The Commissioner says though the latest wave of violence against women appear widespread, statistics have shown a reduction.
He says women should be assured their cases will be dealt with when reported to the police.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner says they have strong leads that will soon see a suspect in custody in relation to the recent killing of one of their own in Portmore, St Catherine.
Anderson is urging continued compliance with the curfew orders.
