Police Out in Their Numbers for the Jab- Hundreds of members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and their families came out Sunday morning to get their dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The first responders had a variety of COVID-19 vaccines to chose from.
Commissioner of Police says the turnout is commendable and encourages that in the coming weeks’ police and the public should take advantage of these blitz sites.
Acting Senior Public Health Nurse at the St. Catherine Health Department, Telgea Burrell Lewis, said the blitz was well promoted and she is surprised by the volume of those taking the jab.
Over 500 people were vaccinated with a large crowd still waiting in line. It was also observed that Pfizer was the most preferred brand however, the commissioner of police major general Antony Anderson says either of the three vaccines will get the job done.
