The police say they have made a major dent in the guns for drugs trade operating between Jamaica and Haiti.
This comes as four Haitians were arrested in Naggo Head in Portmore, St. Catherine on Sunday.
The police tell CVM Live their intelligence suggests the men are part of the illegal guns for drugs trade.
The police confirmed that only one of the four Haitians speak a little English.
CVM Live also understands that the police are awaiting a French translator to formally interview the men, noting that they speak French Creole.
On Tuesday, a joint police military operation in Braeton, also in St. Catherine led to the seizure of more than 1000 pounds of compressed marijuana.
The marijuana which the police theorize is also linked to the Haitians was found in a container.
The St. Catherine south police say they will continue to target key players in the trade and they’re calling on anyone with information that could assist their investigation
This latest bust is part of a series of operational activities across the parish, to include cordon and search.
They say they will continue to pursue wanted men across the division.
Two suspects involved in a murder were also picked up by the lawmen on Tuesday.
