Police Seek Help in Yallahs Beach Murder

The St Thomas police are investigating the shooting death of a man on Sunday at Yallahs Beach. The victim was been identified as Kenese ‘Kenny’  Powell, from Yallahs. As the yellow tape was drawn cordoning off the spot where 33-year-old labourer of Poormans Corner District, Kenny was found. Police found him motionless on his back clad in a multi-colored t-shirt, khaki shorts, and blue slippers after reports of loud explosions along the beach.

The body was examined and had what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to the head and upper body. Signs of violence were confirmed with the recovery of thirteen (13) 9mm spent casings. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Head of the St Thomas Police Superintendent Allison Byfield, says the police are yet to detain a suspect, nor has a motive for the killing ascertained.  She’s urging anyone with information to contact the police.
