Political Activist Killed; Fire In East Central St Catherine

Police investigations are underway into the killing of a political activist in South East Clarendon and a fire in East Central St Catherine. It is alleged that both incidents may be politically motivated.

Meanwhile, PNP Candidate for Clarendon South East, Patricia Duncan Sutherland responding on social media says: ‘my sincere condolences to the Henry family. Paul is my cluster manager’s cousin. I condemn all violence. During this season, I am encouraging all supporters (political activist) of both sides to ensure we practice a politics of partnership and love”

The police, however, say the incident was not politically motivated but as a result of a longstanding dispute with Mr. Henry and other individuals. Meanwhile, over in the community of Gulf East Central St Catherine, a fire ravaged a shop belonging to a JLP supporter.
