Political Ombudsman Warns Against Vote Buying

The history of vote-buying in Jamaica is said to be alive and well. Political supporters have allegedly been receiving the money to vote for a Member of Parliament and with the election season in full effect, the Political Ombudsman is warning against the practice. CVM Live spoke to a citizen from one of the more impoverished communities in Kingston who explains that attempts to buy votes have begun. The General Election was called just two days ago on Tuesday, August 11. Please see more in the video below:
