Cabinet has approved the award of a contract to the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) for the construction of a long awaited fire station in Port Maria St Mary.
The interim Minister of Education, brushed aside questions of whether or not he thought a Permanent Minister should have been appointed by now and instead focused his attention on the Governments plans to bring senior teachers out of retirement to help address student shortfalls in key subject areas.
