The Portland police division said they will remain relentless in their pursuit to rid the area of guns, gangs, and criminals as the parish sees a 60 percent reduction in crime so far this year, compared to 2021.

Superintendent of Police for the Portland Division, Kenneth Chin, says the police success is coupled with the efforts of residents. He says the Portland police remain relentless in solving cases.
