Portland Sees 80% Decline in Malicious and False Alarm Cases

The Portland Fire Brigade has reported a decline in malicious and false alarm calls since the start of the year. However, there’s also been a 5 percent drop in building inspections.

Emerging from the monthly Portland Municipal Corporation meeting recently, was the statistical report on fires in the parish. Head of the Portland Fire Brigade Deputy Superintendent Windell Patterson says since the start of the year, there has been an 80 percent reduction in malicious false alarm cases.
