Pregnant Woman, Father of Six Brutally Slain

A woman, 4-month pregnant, and a father of six were both shot and killed Wednesday night, along Nompriel Road in Negril, Westmoreland. Reports are the man, 32-year-old Dwayne ‘Wacky’ Robinson a bike taxi operator, was transporting the pregnant woman Tascian Copeland home when men armed with guns approached them and fired at them. The operator reportedly lost control of the bike and crashed into a shop.

Six children are now left without a father, as 32-year-old Dwayne ‘Wacky’ Robinson, a bike taxi operator who was transporting Copeland home was also shot fatally. Robinson and Copeland were found with gunshot wounds around 11 pm, slumped over a motorcycle that had crashed into this shop along Nompriel Road, just meters away from their destination.

From the start of this year to March 20, thirty-one people have been killed in the parish of Westmoreland, compared to 16 murders for the same period in 2021.
