Speaking at the meeting of Area Council 1 at the Pembroke Hall Community Centre, Prime Minister Andrew Holness addressed several areas of concern amid Jamaica’s food crisis since the Russia-Ukraine invasion. He assures that the government will be increasing resilience in the country’s food security.
The Prime Minister says Jamaica has not been producing enough, in areas of need to address the food crisis. He admits that it is not possible to produce everything that is in demand but should the situation worsens food security may come under threat. He is urging Jamaican investors to get behind food production and security, to build the island’s capacity. Watch the report here:
