For most Jamaicans, violent crime is often polled as the primary concern about life on the island. A protracted state of historical insecurity has caused many to look exclusively to political leaders for solutions to the multifaceted issues that contribute to its continuation. Issues that were explored during Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ recent budget presentation. The Prime Minister suggests that perceptions that his administration has been ineffective in reducing violent criminal acts, may benefit from additional context. Watch the report:
