Prime Minister Andrew Holness has described the recently concluded summit of the Americas a success. He notes the Biden-Harris shift towards frank and well needed discourse on critical issues affecting members in Latin America and the Caribbean. As it relates to inclusion, he notes the need for more to be done to impact all members especially with climate change, crime and the economy.
Speaking during a discussion segment, Mr Holness said frank discourse could hopefully indicate a shift in the relationship between the region and North America overtime, influencing change. “Poverty remains high for Caribbean and Latin American countries… crime and violence continue to hamper growth for many countries in the region,” the Prime Minister explained.
