Private Schools Seek Expanded Collaboration with Government

The recent increase in school fees at private schools has sparked much conversation with many questioning the validity and whether the move was necessary. Stakeholders say the move was unavoidable with one key player, proposing an expanded partnership with the government to cushion the blow to parents.

President of the Jamaica Independent School Association, Pastor Wesley Boynes, as he explains the latest school fee hike in private schools is unavoidable. He suggests a tax break, to help alleviate the pressure faced by many Jamaican parents. Watch the report:
