Probe Ordered into Kingston Wharves Worker’s Death

The body of a man who fell into the Kingston Harbour while at work at the Kingston wharves has been found. Search teams have been deployed since Tuesday to locate the man who reportedly had an accident and fell into the water. The company says an independent investigation’s to be launched into the circumstances surrounding the death.

The search for 38-year-old Scott Bamberry ended in grief Thursday as his body was fished from the blue depths in Kingston. The Kingston wharves employee fell overboard a ship docked at Berth 8 late Tuesday evening.

Corporate Services and Client Experience Manager at Kingston Wharves Limited, Simone Murdock says Bamberry was a hardworking member of the team. As investigations continue, the company’s contemplating a review of its safety measures to protect workers. Watch the report:
