The Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) on Tuesday, February 2, convened a meeting in response to the recent upsurge in criminal activities across the island.
The organization is also calling for a level of openness from the government and an oriented and constructive approach from the opposition in the fight against crime.
Keith Duncan – President, of PSOJ says the focus must be placed on the overdue reforms in the Jamaica Constabulary Force ( JCF), the justice system, and the effort to combat corruption. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Commander George Overton while commending the security forces, says more targeted social programmes are needed.
