PSOJ Pleased with Return of Vale Royal Talks

President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), Metry Seaga, says he was pleasantly surprised to see the two main political leaders shaking hands at the resumption of the long-awaited Vale Royal Talks. 

Seaga notes only good can come of the bipartisan discourse on critical issues and the church hosting the first of them is a welcomed gesture. Prime Minister Andrew Holness had promised that the critical vale royal talks building political consensus on various social issues would resume in January. However, dogged by delays the talks got underway Sunday, nearly a month later.

One of the most influential voices in the Private Sector, Metry Seaga admits the PSOJ’s repeated calls for the return of the Vale Royal talks were crucial to the recent resumption. Speaking with CVM LIVE Monday, he not only welcomes the move but highlights its usefulness to societal challenges. Seaga says crime remains a major obstacle to the development of Jamaican Society.Watch the report below:
