The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) wants unity – The Coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic, and the crime epidemic are top of the list of issues the country is concerned about. President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, Keith Duncan, says a collaborative effort is mandatory to tackle these issues.
He says the National Consensus on crime which was signed by the leaders of the major political parties this year must be activated.
With at least 48 of the 63 seats in the hands of the Jamaica Labour Party, the PSOJ president says the organization and civil society recognizes the crucial role they now have to play in continuing to hold the government to account.
The country is managing more than two thousand active cases of the coronavirus as the outbreak enters the community transmission phase.
The PSOJ is also reminding Jamaicans that they too have a personal responsibility to ensure that they comply with infection control protocols to reduce the spread of the disease.
