Doctors were not the only ones calling in sick on July 1, 2021. Approximately 90 percent of Public Health Inspectors in the Kingston and St. Andrew Health Department reportedly called in sick between Wednesday June 30, 2021 and yesterday July 1, 2021.
This as they sought to highlight numerous outstanding issues affecting them to include non-payment of allowances.
A meeting between the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the relevant stakeholders yesterday July 1, 2021 is expected to usher in normality today .
