Public Sector Workers Benefit From Energy Workshop

Public Sector workers who recently participated in the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica Energy Workshop benefited from training in Energy Management, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Intervention.

A Canadian Research Scientist, Wayne Groszko was one of the speakers at the event. He says public sector workers must be aware of energy efficiency in order to cut down on costs. He says this reduction will benefit the economy and therefore bring about sustainable development.

In 2018, Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the statement that the aim was to achieve 30% renewables within two years. That target has since increased.

Groszko says the training can have impact on the nation once participants practice what is learned.
