A fast-growing colony of rats, of varying sizes, is disrupting the smooth operation of businesses in Half Way Tree. Vendors, taxi operators, and commuters say the rodents invade their spaces without reservation and damage their goods.
Our junior Reporter Natalia Clarke did a stake out and the findings are far from pleasant. The park, though a playground for children in the day, is transformed into a haven for a colony of mutant-looking rats by night. Vendors say they have co-existed with the vermin for years, as they continue to eat away at their profits. And while other vendors say it is not uncanny to show up to their stalls and find goods damaged or missing,
One vendor told CVM LIVE, he was not aware of the incessant issue, even as our videographer filmed the pack of rats playing in a garden next to his jerk chicken stall.
Insisting the rats appear to be lifting weights, this patron shares a recent encounter.
