“Not quite an apology”; that’s the feedback from advocates championing the cause of Jamaica’s reparations for hundreds of years of atrocities done to slaves by their colonizers, the British monarchy. This after Duke of Cambridge Prince William expressed regret for the slave trade during his recent trip to Jamaica. A monarchy represented in the flesh on Jamaican soil by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate this week.
