Restorative Justice Centers See 80% Success Rate

The Government will be using alternative justice services and social intervention programmes to resolve conflicts and restore peace. In a bid to address violence among school children, the Ministry of Justice will be ramping up its Child Diversion Programme. The goal is to increase the use of alternative dispute resolution methods in these institutions.

Minister Delroy Chuck made this announcement at the opening of the Greenwich Restorative Justice Centre as part of the Ministry’s effort to increase the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods in the dispensation of justice.

Member of Parliament for St. Andrew South Western Angela Brown-Burke notes that crime in Greenwich Town is on the decline. Burke believes this center will help maintain peace in the community. More details in the report:
