Revolutionizing Maternal Care in Health Facilities

As efforts to improve the healthcare system continue, a focus on maternal outcomes is in the spotlight. The trajectory indicates several changes are underway to improve the working conditions for midwives and enhance the experience for mothers and their babies. No woman should die from preventable maternal and fetal complications. Women of childbearing age and their children should have better access to quality care -these are the calls from State Minister, Juliet Cuthbert Flynn, as she outlines how the government intends to strengthen the island’s maternal outcomes, by implementing changes relevant to the work of midwives.
