Reward To Catch Cannabis Candy Vendor

A reward of one hundred thousand dollars is being offered to individuals who can provide Crime Stop or the police with information about the vendor responsible for selling cannabis-laced sweets to students at Ocho Rios Primary School on Monday. On Tuesday, Matthew Samuda, Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, pledged a hundred thousand dollars to Crime Stop to assist the police in addressing the incident that occurred on Monday. This incentive aims to encourage citizens to help locate the vendor responsible for distributing THC-laced candies to more than 60 Ocho Rios Primary School students. The government is committed to ensuring that this case does not go unresolved.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education is taking proactive measures to prevent such incidents from happening again. Minister Fayval Williams, during a meeting with parents at the school, urged them to remind their children to only buy from vendors they know and trust. Watch the report:
