Trelawny’s RIU Hotel construction halt fuels concern; when work began people journeyed several parishes over to tap into the spending expected to come from it. Many now owe rent in the parish and cannot provide for their families this holiday.
The site was closed after the Trelawny Municipal Corporation issued a stop order alleging safety concerns. Workers say they were told the project was halted due to the use of bad concrete.
